Our staff is compassionate about getting your new home sparkling clean so you can spend more time enjoying activities. Mountain View is one of the very best retirement communities in Tucson. The residents there are bright, cheerful, energetic and just beam with enthusiasm for living there. The kitchen staff really knows what they are doing back there and present a fantastic meal. From our first tour all the way to the end, Mountain View gave us a wonderful time. At Mountain View Care Center there are 112 residents staying there that are on Medicare/Medicaid.
All are handicapped equipped as necessary and have an emergency call system. They have sitting areas, living room, activities area, pool table, beauty salon, exercise room, and nice dining room. The dining room is restaurant style with 2 entrees lunch and dinner and over 20 other items to choose from. They serve three meals a day and snacks. They have two nures on duty, certified caregivers, med techs, activities director, and rehab and other services available so the resident can move within the community. They have doctors and nurse practitioner who come in.

A special Thank you to Amie and Brenda'; Two of Mountain Views Angel Nurses. Pictures of this lovely facility on their website are accurate. Looks and feels like your home, very clean and inviting. My mother has been a resident for 7 years now, I would like to say that the business office (Myrna B.) has been amazing to work with.
We have found local resources that can help you evaluate Mountain View Care Center. Close proximity to hospitals and places of worship can be helpful in evaluating a provider. This facility far exceeded my expectations. The staff is pleasant and well educated.
Rose of Sharon Family Home
My relative is at Mountain View Care Center. When you walk in, they have cucumber water, and coffee for the guests. They have a nice TV room, and then they have a kitchen with tables that people can go to watch TV. The physical therapists are really good.
She ate most of her meals in her room, but the food was very good. If she didn’t like it, they will get her something else. They had separate wings, and they had a dining room for the separate wings. She had physical therapy and bingo. You had to buzz yourself in and out -- very great security. Nobody could leave unless they had a code to get out.
Services
The out side has two courtyards with walking paths, rock formations, and lush greenery. This is a very nice and desirable place. Looking for a retirement community with world-class care, a dedicated staff, and a welcoming atmosphere? Here, you or your loved one will experience a relaxing and fulfilling lifestyle filled with friends, fun, and enriching activities.
Anything you can share will help other families choose the perfect community. A lot of old people sitting around sleeping. They always have those old room air-conditioners, I hate those things. What I like about this facility is it's closer to where I live.
Stay Active
Also, the staff is very nice and the food is very good. As of the last update they had a daily average of 65.7 residents compared to the AZ average of 71.9 and a National average of 86.4. Star ratings are often best used for basic comparisons and when deciding which facilities to visit. However, nothing beats actually visiting the nursing home yourself when possible. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services does their best to provide a fair assessment of every Nursing Home, but please note these ratings are a snapshot in time.
In addition to the standard meal programs, this community has low-salt, low-sugar, and other special diets available for residents who require them. My mother was at Mt View for therapy after hospital visit. Aides were very helpful but very understaffed. Very long response time if call button was pressed. Mom is on low sodium diet due to severe health problems. We were told on admission that a dietician helped in coordination with meals meeting specific health needs.
The fact this building has been standing for almost 20 years and not a single remodel has been done is outstanding. The same staff have been there almost as long as it's been there which says a lot about a company. My friend couldn't tell me enough times about how amazing it was there, activities were great, food was amazing, and care was perfect.
The rooms are fairly plain and rather typical of nursing home rooms, but there is room for one to decorate and make it your own. The staff is what makes this facility so wonderful. The nurses, Dr.s, cleaning staff, kitchen staff, laundry staff etc. The last time my mother was there, when she arrived nurses and other staff heard she was there and ran to give hugs and welcome her. New staff were dragged in too, to introduce them to her. All this was done not by us but by the staff that knew her.
